Well, we found out about our visas. The office in Lakenheath said that we should be fine, because we actually have them. Worse case scenario is that we'd enter on a tourist visa, then we'd have to leave the country before it expired. Maybe to France or Scotland. Then re-enter the country on our long term visas. Wait - that is worse case? A week-end in France? I think I can handle it. =)
Oh, here is what I found yesterday after Hayden's bath.
Honestly, is there anything better than dancing around, banging a drum, buck naked?
I submit that there is not.

The Greatest Playground in Turkey - Possibly the World
A few weeks ago we actually took the trek to get our visas. Things went much more smoothly than I had ever imagined they could in this country. In fact, things went so smoothly that we had our applications processed and our visas sent to us in just two short weeks. Yes, we actually have the visas already and it didn't end up costing us near what we thought it would. So that was good news. The bad news is that someone, somewhere, in the whole process changed our "date of entry" on the blessed little things. So now they aren't valid until after August 29th. This wouldn't be a problem except that Michael is supposed to report to his new commander on the 14th.
Good times.
Anyway, we are working on that.... in the mean time! We did find the BEST PLAYGROUND EVER! (According to my little team of playground experts.) It was pretty awesome. Especially because you could get your picture taken with Papa Smurf. 'Nuff said.

Happy Anniversary to Me!
It has finally happened! After 13 years of marriage, I got a bedroom set! My dear husband had this set made for me. It is a bit cramped in the room we have now. To give you perspective, I am standing in the doorway taking this picture. Hopefully in our next home, Michael won't have to keep his nightstand in the closet! Now the next step is to get some things to decorate our bare white cement walls....Someday I will have a real house. (sigh)
This is one of the best parts about it! Look what the mirror does! Now I can hide all my crap.
I feel so spoiled!

Baseball Season!
All three of the kids played baseball this year. It was a little hectic, but so fun to watch! The video of Bennett pretty much sums up his year. He spent the better part of each game digging in the dirt. Do you remember my post about our Israel trip? And the constant digging? I wasn't kidding.
Bennett had the privilege of being a member of the world's greatest baseball team. Go Giants! (Now if only he made their salaries.....)
Bennett's coach had the patience of a saint. Teaching basic plays and positions to spacey 5 year olds is not for the faint-hearted!
