I enjoyed the books, and Maryn desperately wants to read them, because most of her friends have. But I personally do not think the third and fourth books in the series are appropriate for an eleven year old. I told her I would let her read the first one, possibly the second, but then she would have to wait. She opted to wait until she can read all four in order. To take the sting out of it, we compromised with seeing the movie together. We went with a good friend of mine who happens to have a daughter that is a good friend of Maryn's. I love it when that happens! =)
We had a great time being silly for the evening. Maryn wouldn't do this for the shot Kim wanted, (though I am sure she wanted to!) so I did, and thoroughly embarrassed her. Isn't that my job? Besides, the Turks expect us to be odd. (Which is why they follow us around with their cell phone cameras -as if we don't see them.) I say, give the people what they want. =)

Hey Lindiva-♥
I'm so glad your catching up on American movies now:) Roland's sister, Theresa, came for Christmas-and the first night she got here...she took me out with her daughter, Jessica (16). We had a blast and I felt so "hip" to know just who Edward was! (I would never kiss his poster-face though)EWWW...
You aren't supposed to see the movie unless you've read the book! I'll expect a book report soon. =)
Also, you do realize that you won't truly be "hip" as long as Donny Osmond remains your favorite singer, right? Sorry to break it to you. =)
YAY! So glad you guys were able to finally see it. Never got a review of the movie though. I personally thought it was terrible but I heard if the second time is better. Not sure how that is possible but I am willing to give it a go. Anyhoo, can't wait to see you someday...hopefully soon. Love you!
Donny would not be pleased to see what you just wrote! His cool factor is WAY beyond Edwards:)
It took me awhile to be convinced by Zora and Sherene to read the books. Vampire books just aren't my thing. :) But, I finally read them and couldn't put them down. The movie was only "okay" compared to the books. Leave it to you to embarrass your daughter with the poster, that's the Linda I know well.:)
